Beginning
Nationwide's Future Leaders Programme brought together talented finance professionals preparing to take the next step in their careers. While participants were highly capable and technically strong, many were beginning to recognise that leadership is about more than expertise. It involves building relationships, earning trust, influencing others and helping people feel confident in your ideas.

Middle
Working with the group, Ben explored the human side of leadership communication. Through practical exercises focused on presence, listening, audience awareness and non-verbal communication, participants developed a greater understanding of how they showed up around others. The work encouraged them to move beyond relying solely on technical knowledge, take more risks in how they communicated, and build stronger connections through authenticity and confident behaviour.

Participants left with practical tools to communicate with greater ease and impact. By developing their presence, becoming more aware of their influence on others and learning to bring more of themselves into their communication, they were better equipped to foster relationships, lead conversations and step into leadership with confidence.
