Presence and Impact: Voice, Body & Space

Workshops that focus on the physical and vocal delivery of communication and particularly leadership: how sense of self, voice, body language and use of space shape how communication is received.

Storytelling is as much about the teller as it is about the story, and Ben's work focuses specifically on the physical and vocal dimension of that: developing the body, voice, breath and presence that allow a leader's communication to land with the power and authenticity it requires.

These workshops contain practical, embodied skills that give leaders conscious control over how they show up so that their communication is not left to habit or assumption.

The approach is experiential, from cognitive understanding, into embodied practice, into immediate application, embedded learning and lasting change.

Delivery is flexible. Some sessions are offered online, while many of the more transformational experiences are delivered face to face, typically as full day workshops. The content and structure of each workshop can be shaped to suit the specific audience. This is not a fixed, off the shelf programme. It is designed in response to what is most useful and relevant.

Leading Self

Developing self-awareness, confidence and personal presence.

Personal Impact and Confident Communication

  • Speaking with clarity in everyday situations.

  • Finding your voice.

  • Building confidence in meetings and conversations.

Focus:

Developing a voice that is grounded, flexible and intentional, supported by physical awareness rather than effort or performance.

Why it matters:

Leaders are heard and understood more quickly when vocal delivery is clear and supported by the rest of the body, reducing the need to repeat, justify or reinforce messages.

Online Presence and Personal Impact

  • Showing up effectively on camera.

  • Using framing, voice and presence.

  • Leveraging technology to enhance impact.

Focus:

Translating physical presence into digital environments where visual and vocal cues carry greater weight.

Why it matters:

In hybrid and remote settings, leadership is often experienced through a screen. Small shifts in voice, eye-line and physical stillness amongst other adaptions significantly affect perceived credibility and engagement.

Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness

  • Understanding your internal state.

  • Managing pressure and response.

  • Developing awareness and behavioural choice.

Focus:

Recognising how internal states show up physically: in breath, posture, voice and pace, and developing the ability to regulate them.

Why it matters:

Under pressure, physical signals often override intention. Leaders who can manage this maintain clarity, authority and trust in high-stakes moments.

Leading Others

Building connection, trust, and influence across teams and beyond.

Influence and Rapport

  • Adapting your style to different people.

  • Building trust quickly
    Influencing without authority.

Focus:

Reading and responding to others through physical and vocal cues, including tone, pace, energy and body language.

Why it matters:

Trust and influence are built through alignment between what is said and how it is delivered. Leaders who can adapt physically and vocally are more effective across functions and levels.

Courageous Conversations

  • Handling difficult conversations.

  • Giving clear, constructive feedback.

  • Navigating challenge and conflict.

Focus:

Maintaining physical and vocal control in high-tension moments, using voice and presence to stay direct without escalating.

Why it matters:

The success of difficult conversations often depends less on content and more on delivery. Controlled presence enables honesty while preserving relationships.

Leadership Presence

  • Building trust, engagement and fellowship in-person and online.

  • Communicating with authority under pressure
Increasing presence through body, voice, and energy.

Focus:

Developing conscious use of body, voice and space to lead attention and shape group dynamics.

Why it matters:‍ ‍

Presence determines whether people listen, engage, and follow. It is a practical skill that directly impacts meeting effectiveness, stakeholder confidence, and team alignment.

Organisational Influence

Expanding impact across teams, culture and systems.

Human-Centred Leadership

  • Leading with empathy and connection.

  • Creating psychological safety.

  • Coaching and developing others.

Focus:

Using tone, physical openness and listening behaviours to create environments where others feel able to contribute.

Why it matters:

Psychological safety is experienced through everyday interactions. Leaders signal this through how they physically and vocally respond to others.

Creative Leadership

  • Leading through change and uncertainty.

  • Thinking creatively in complex environments.

  • Building resilience and flexibility.

Focus:

Maintaining a grounded, adaptable physical presence in uncertain environments.

Why it matters:

In times of change, people look to leaders for cues. Consistent, composed delivery helps stabilise teams and maintain momentum.
