Making the Connection.

– Mastering the art and science of human communication at work.

Discover how body-language, breath, and voice are essential to developing the right mindset and behaviour for exceptional professional relationships, engaged teams and credible leadership presence.

This workshop is for Learning and Development specialists who are looking to improve the way their people communicate, connect, collaborate, and lead.

This is a special invitation for potential clients, to sample our work and consider how this training can benefit their colleagues and organisation.

Led by our voice and non-verbal communication expert Ben Joiner, the practice of Making the Connection will support clear conversations, credible leadership, personal impact, assertiveness, managing stress, public speaking, presenting, pitches, objection handling and dealing with conflict.

The workshop is participatory and experiential – you will learn by doing and get a true impression of what our training will be like for your colleagues. Each easily applied technique or exercise is there to help you to be a more comfortable and confident communicator.

The workshop will look at how to make a positive impact in variety of communication scenarios – including conversations, speaking at a meeting, presenting to a larger audience, being on Teams/Zoom etc. – It will consider the communication challenges they raise and offer ways your body, breath and voice can be used to your advantage to create the desired outcomes for each situation.

Included in the workshop is talk and discussion, taking part in techniques as part of the group, individual coaching and applying the techniques to how we communicate on screen (if you can, please do bring a laptop for this part of the workshop).

“I am a communication skills expert focusing on interpersonal behaviour, leadership and public speaking. Drawing on my 20-year background in arts and professional coaching, I use a variety of creatively inspired, scientifically informed and experiential methods to help people speak up, connect with each other and get things done. A compelling narrative expertly told is a potent combination that can carry a message into the hearts and minds of the listeners and inspire them to action.”

Ben’s ability to find the speaker within us, to build confidence and impact with small, simple and easy changes to our behaviour, is a form of magic.”
