Strategy
Beginning
Pluxee had defined 8 Leadership competencies that would be part of realising their strategy and achieving their aims and values as an international business. To bring these competencies to life, they selected eight senior leaders to act as ambassadors—each responsible for promoting one competency across the organization.
These leaders were tasked with creating a compelling 10-minute spoken piece (to be filmed and shared as a video) that would explain their competency, demonstrate its use, and inspire their fellow leaders to embrace and apply it in their work. Pluxee asked us to help them craft the creation and telling of these pieces in a way that was engaging, personal, and impactful.
Middle
Each leader worked with Lily through a series of online 1:1 coaching sessions (totalling around 3–4 hours per person). Using our storytelling framework, she guided them to uncover authentic, personal experiences that illustrated the real-world value of their competency.
Between sessions, leaders used our tools and templates to refine their stories independently, while staying anchored in our storytelling structure. This blended approach empowered them to develop a strong, coherent message in their own voice.

Through our process, leaders didn’t just “explain” their competencies—they embodied them. Each video followed a compelling arc: starting with a personal story that demonstrated the power of the competency for that leader, and expanding outward to show its relevance to teams, clients, and the wider business and in some cases to society as a whole.
The coaching increased their confidence—not just in presenting, but in understanding their own leadership identity. Leaders became more aware of how their words, beliefs, personality and presence influence others. They learned to use storytelling techniques (e.g., clear protagonists, contextual details and descriptions, emotional experience) to make their messages relatable, memorable and actionable.
Beyond the videos themselves, many participants reported lasting benefits in their communication style and leadership presence. Several described the coaching as transformative—not just for the task at hand, but for how they now lead and connect with others.
