Situation:
AXA PPP were looking forward to their 70th anniversary and wanted to engage their staff in a year long celebration. Arts & Business, their artist solutions broker, suggested us to help them with Birthday Stories, a page-a-day calendar of stories past and present, remembered and shared by staff.

Solution:
We created a template and a series of hints and tips, to help the staff write short, engaging and entertaining stories. On a dedicated space on the intranet, staff could submit their stories and view those submitted by colleagues. To kick-start a month of stories, we launched the project at their headquarters in Tunbridge Wells and created a buzz with 20 members of staff, from across departments, who were then charged with championing the project nationally.

Results:
Once the stories had all been submitted, we edited the best and interspersed them with customer stories collected over many years, to create a memorable calendar for 2010. The calendar was shared with clients and was available to all staff either as a paper desktop calendar or on AXA PPP’s intranet.
