Storytelling to Inspire Ideas and Plans at a Conference

Situation:
On a recommendation from Arts & Business, we were asked by The Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts to provide 2 participatory creative sessions as part of their conference and training for arts venues and organisations, which they were funding.

Solution:
During our quick, lively and interactive icebreaker session, through sharing stories, delegates found common ground within the theme of the day. In the post lunch energiser, they created together future visions of their funded projects. We enabled them to look beyond perceived limits and imagine the future achievements created by the funding.

Results:
TheWholeStory's creative and proactive contribution went towards producing an energetic and inspiring conference. All delegates had the opportunity to share best practice and their experiences, inspire and encourage each other, overcome any planning hesitancy, make contacts and even friendships. By creating stories for the future they were able to visualise more than they had originally thought possible for their venues and audiences.

“The storytelling techniques will add depth and colour to all my presentations – and make them much more enjoyable for me and the audience.”
