Education
TheWholeStory combine the skills of Theatre and Storytelling to offer an excellent variety of classes, workshops and storytelling performance for children, staff and parents.

The benefits of creating, listening and telling stories range from the expansion of vocabulary, to motivating reading and writing, to sharing knowledge, exploring ideas and issues, inspiring further learning in a fun and energetic way and of course stimulating creativity and imagination.

We have performed dynamic, interactive and energetic storytelling to schools and other education groups throughout London and the South East. We also perform regularly at the Horniman Museum, WOMAD and also work with The National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces, the Geffrye Museum and the V&A.

We run practical activities and workshops, for primary and secondary schools, to animate reading and writing, enhance children’s enthusiasm to create their own written and performable work and introduce them to actively exploring issues, history and heritage.

We offer enjoyable and bespoke training and INSET for teachers and staff to enhance teaching and creativity through storytelling. We provide workshops for Islington Education and are currently working with Westminster Early Years in partnership with the Tate and Wigmore Hall.

All of TheWholeStory’s Education projects are exciting, engaging fun and highly participatory and can be adapted to suit all Key Stages and abilities....
"My class are more united and confident when speaking. They now have a ‘yes we can’ attitude; always happy to help each other.
It was great to see the enjoyment of learning."

Aneeta Purewell, English Teacher, Greenford High School.
