Action Learning
Complimenting our use of storytelling, to provide structured and fresh perspectives on behaviours, actions, ideas, situations and challenges, Action Learning is an ideal facilitated method for peer support, feedback, problem solving and personal and professional development.
A group, of up to 8 participants are guided, by a facilitator through a disciplined process, in a confidential, mutually supporting and safely challenging environment to learn from each other through reflection and practise.
Individuals bring issues, challenges, strengths and weaknesses, questions and situations they are currently facing to the group; to explore and learn, find new behaviours and perspectives, discover alternative solutions, gain a deeper or different understanding, review options and plan action.
Although the focus is given to one person at a time, by taking part in the individual's learning everyone in the group can broaden and develop their own thinking and behaviour.
An Action Learning set can take place in-house with peers from one organisation or with individuals or leaders from different organisations. The set meets on several occasions over an agreed time scale, usually about 5 times over a year.
To learn more about the benefits and process of Action Learning we can provide short or introductory sets.
Why Storytelling could be of benefit to your Organisation:
Do staff understand your brand values and identity, why you have them
and how they benefit the company?
Do staff understand the need for and benefits
of change, and therefore embrace it?
Do your away-days teach valuable skills
whilst being fun, creative, challenging and different?
Can staff confidently
improvise and be sensitive to different audiences and adapt their presentations
and communications accordingly?
Do staff have an active interest in the
stories related to your company, clients and products?
Do staff engage confidently
and easily with clients and colleagues?
Do staff contribute to creating
a relationship between your company, employees and clients?
